Managing Leads

This guide walks you through the full lead lifecycle in Blank CRM — from creating a new lead to editing their details and converting them to a deal.

Prerequisites

  • You have access to the Leads module in your CRM dashboard
1

Open the Leads list

Navigate to Dashboard > Leads. You should see the Leads list page, which displays all existing leads in a table.
2

Create a new lead

Click the New Lead button. A dialog will appear where you can enter the lead’s information.
3

Fill in the lead's details

In the dialog, complete the following fields:
  • First Name — Enter the lead’s first name.
  • Email — Enter the lead’s email address.
First Name and Email are required to save a new lead. You can add or update additional details later by editing the lead.
4

Save the new lead

Click the Save button. A confirmation notification will appear briefly at the bottom of the screen, and the lead will be added to your list.
5

Open a lead's detail page

From the Leads list, click any row in the table to open that lead’s detail page. The URL will update to reflect the selected lead, and you will see the lead’s full Details.
6

Edit a lead

From the Leads list, click the row of the lead you want to update to open their detail page. Then click the ⋯ (more options) button and select Edit from the menu.In the dialog that appears, update any fields as needed — for example, enter a value in the Last Name field. When finished, click the Save button.
You can edit a lead at any point in their lifecycle to keep contact information accurate before conversion.
7

Convert a lead to a deal

From the Leads list, click the row of the lead you want to convert to open their detail page. Then click the ⋯ (more options) button and select Convert from the menu.If a confirmation dialog appears, click the Convert button to complete the conversion.
Converting a lead promotes it to a deal in your CRM pipeline. This action reflects a progression in the sales process and cannot be undone from the Leads module.
Use the Leads list as your central hub for tracking inbound interest. Regularly review and update lead details before converting them to ensure your pipeline data stays clean.
