Setting Up Webhooks

This guide walks you through creating a webhook endpoint and understanding signature verification in Blank Sign.

Prerequisites

  • You have access to the Webhooks section of your dashboard
  • You have a publicly accessible URL ready to receive webhook events
1

Open the Webhooks page

Navigate to Dashboard > Webhooks. You should see the Webhooks page load with any existing webhook configurations listed.
2

Open the Add Webhook dialog

Click the Add Webhook button to open the webhook creation dialog.
3

Enter your endpoint URL

In the URL field, enter the full URL of the endpoint that will receive webhook events — for example, https://yourdomain.com/webhook.
4

Select the events to subscribe to

Check the checkbox next to each event type you want this webhook to listen for. At minimum, select one event to activate the webhook.
You must select at least one event type for the webhook to receive any notifications.
5

Save the webhook

Confirm the dialog to save your new webhook. You will be returned to the Webhooks page, where your new endpoint will appear in the list.
6

Review signature verification details

On the Webhooks page, locate the Signature Verification section. This section displays your X-Signature secret, which you can use to validate that incoming webhook payloads were sent by Blank Sign.
Always verify the X-Signature header on your server before processing webhook payloads. This prevents unauthorized or spoofed requests from being acted upon.
Webhook delivery is not guaranteed to be in order. Design your endpoint to handle out-of-order or duplicate events gracefully.
