Generating an API Key

This guide walks you through creating a new API key from your dashboard, which you can use to authenticate requests to the Blank Sign API.

Prerequisites

  • You must be logged in to your Blank Sign account

Open the API Keys page

Navigate to Dashboard > API Keys. You should see the API Keys section load on the page.

Start generating a new key

Click the Generate button to open the creation dialog.

Name your API key

In the dialog that appears, enter a name for your key in the text field (for example, My Integration Key). Choose a descriptive name so you can easily identify the key’s purpose later.

Create the key

Click the Create button to generate the API key.

Copy your API key

Once the key is generated, it will be displayed on the screen. Copy it and store it somewhere safe.
For security reasons, your API key may only be shown once immediately after creation. Make sure to copy and securely store the key before closing the dialog — you will not be able to retrieve it again.
Give each API key a meaningful name that reflects where or how it will be used (for example, Mobile App or CRM Integration). This makes it easier to manage and revoke keys if needed.
