Searching for Pages

Use the Search feature to quickly locate pages in your workspace, either through the dedicated search page or with a keyboard shortcut from anywhere in the dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to Blank Notes
  • At least one page exists in your workspace for best results
1

Open the Search page

Navigate to Search from your dashboard sidebar, or go directly to /dashboard/search. The page will load with a Search heading and an input field ready to use.
2

Enter your search query

Click the search input field and type the word or phrase you want to find — for example, test. Blank Notes will display matching pages, or show a No pages message if no results are found.
3

Review your results

Browse the results listed on the page. Each result represents a page in your workspace that matches your query. Click any result to open that page.
4

Use the keyboard shortcut to search quickly

From anywhere in the dashboard, press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to instantly open the search dialog without navigating away from your current page.
5

Close the search dialog

When you are done, press Escape to close the search dialog and return to your current view.
The ⌘K / Ctrl+K keyboard shortcut is the fastest way to search. Use it at any point while working in your dashboard to jump to any page without interrupting your workflow.
If your search returns a No pages message, double-check your spelling or try a broader search term. Only pages you have access to within your workspace will appear in results.
