Exploring Economic Indicators

Use the Economic module to browse popular economic indicators and search for specific data series sourced from FRED and other economic databases.

Prerequisites

  • You have an active Blank Terminal account and are logged in

Open the Economic module

Navigate to Dashboard > Economic by going to /dashboard/economic. The page will load and display the Economic indicators section.

Browse popular indicators

Once the page loads, you will see a list of popular economic indicators including categories such as GDP, Unemployment, and Inflation. Browse these to get an overview of the available data series.

Search for a specific indicator

Locate the Search field (labeled Search or Series) near the top of the page. Type a keyword or indicator name — for example, GDP — to filter and find a specific economic data series.
The Economic module pulls data from FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data). If you are looking for a specific series, try searching by its common name or official FRED series ID.
It may take a moment for the indicators to fully load after navigating to the page. Wait for the content to appear before searching or browsing.
